1. Name of the Spa you visited?
Academy Spa, Harrogate
 
2. What did you think to the facilities?
Excellent
 
3. What did you most LIKE about the Spa? 
The staff were great - really friendly, helpful, experienced and generally wonderful - especially as they remembered I'd booked the day for my Mum's birhday and wished her many happy returns when we arrived (a really nice touch)! Also the calm relaxed atmosphere in the treatment areas, the area around the sauna was great too.
 
4. What did you most DISLIKE about the Spa?
Having to go down into the main cafe for lunch. After spending the morning in the jacuzzi/steam room/sauna it was a shock to the system to have to have lunch in a cafe full of kids and customers who'd been in the gym. It jarred with the relaxed atmosphere of the morning and going down in our robes (as we were advised to do) made us feel a little uncomfortable. A little blip in an otherwise great day. It would be nice if spa goers could go, in their robes and slippers, to a quiet, calm room for lunch away from the hussle and bussle of the main cafe.
 
5. Any treatments you particularly enjoyed or can recommend?
We had taster massages, facials and manicures/pedicures. All three treatments were carried out by the same therapist (that kind of continuity is great) and all three treatments were fantastic.
 
6. Had you been to a Spa before and how did it compare?
I have been a couple of times to other spas and the Academy was the best.
 
7. Over all mark out of 10? 9/10 (would have been 10 if it weren't for having to have lunch in the cafe)
