Name of the Spa you visited? 2.. What did you think to the facilities?
Not as sophisticated as some but more than adequate. It felt very safe and friendly. We were well looked after. 3.. What did you most LIKE about the Spa?
The pool was a decent size and swimming was more an exercise than just getting wet. We were offered the choice of changing our treatments- which we did provided we kept within the set time offers. (We were booked into a mother and daughter day)We were offered use of the other facilities ( house and grounds) and the gym if we so needed them and there was a nice courtyard to sit out in. Excellent Lunch and beverages were complimentary 4.. What did you most DISLIKE about the Spa?
I could see that in the colder months the sitting areas, relaxing areas between treatments might not be so extensive- but it was great for the weather and time of year. The booking had not been clearly made as a "day" There was confusion over
this. It would appear that the Spa was expecting us post 2.00pm for treatments only and had not got us booked in for a whole day. This had repercussions for our treatments- but the therapist was very professional and we were sorted out fairly quickly and in the end the day was successful. However, it did mean that my daughter and I had to spend the majority of the day apart to enable our treatments to be done back to back, whereas the day was supposed to be more about a mother/daughter sharing day! I would assume that this is not a problem from the Spa's end but from the
booking end. 5.. Any treatments you particularly enjoyed or can recommend?
The therapist was very good- best massage and facial I have had so far. 6. Had you been to a Spa before and how did it compare?
Yes - the surroundings in the other spa were more luxurious, however the pool was extremely small and the treatments not as good. There was also nothing else on offer at the other spa 7.. Over all mark out of 10? 8 This review was written by Irene Hill ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We visited Littlecote House Hotel in Hungerford. Very nice pool area, lovely place. Particularly liked walking around the grounds/house. Was a little peeved when we wanted extra treatments we were given the list, went up and they didn't offer what we wanted anymore so took the list away again to read and went back to book only to find they couldn't do anything else as they had nobody available - I wish they had just told us that to start with rather than keep messing about!! Plus the fact when my mum was told she could swap her three booked treatments around to suit herself, when she did the woman looked like she wasn't very happy about it at all which made my mum feel a bit uncomfortable and wish she hadn't said anything!
The lady that did my treatments was brilliant - facial was super. Overall I would give it a 7 out of 10 - the location was amazing, wish we'd have had longer to enjoy the gardens. We've never had a spa day before but will be hopefully booking another one at some point!
