This Health Spa review was written by Janet Henney

We visited Clarice House, Suffolk for a 2 night stay.

We had not been to a Health Spa before and would have welcomed some detailed information. For example, that all meals were included in the price, that we could walk around in robes provided etc. Details, I know, and probably included somewhere in general info but we would have liked a small leaflet with specific details for our venue. Our stay was great. Food was excellent, facilities were good, everything was clean and well maintained and staff were friendly. Our favourite treatments were the facials and we would give an overall mark of 9.

We have recommended the venue to friends. We booked via www.spaseekers.com Thank you for helping us to find it.

Here is my feedback about Clarice House Health Spa, Suffolk

2. What did you think to the facilities ?
A little difficult to find, but nice once there. At first it felt strange to walk through main reception and up and down stairs in a bath robe (rather than having all facilities in one central area), but then, it was quite nice that you could move around a bit, go outside if you wanted to, or just sit and read when there was time.

3. Anything in particular you liked?
The treatments were first class - especially the 1 hour facial which included neck and shoulder massage. Best I've ever had!

4. Anything in particular you did not like?
No not really, staff were friendly, therapies/treatments good... It would have been nice to have complimentary coffee/tea and fruit throughout the day. When you pay a lot of money for a "one day experience" it feels a bit petty to have to pay for a coffee...

5. Favourite treatment?
As above (1 hour facial), but also full body massage was excellent.

6. Overall mark out of 10?
 8 out of 10

7. Had you been to a Spa before and how did it compare?A purpose built spa in Sweden, Clarice House was equally good, but different proposition (the one in Sweden was a weekend for ladies only package).

I recently went to Clarice House Health Spa in Bury St Edmunds. I found the facilitiesto be excellent. The fact it was so small and personal was a real plus, so it was quiet, friendly and more personal than other Spas i have been to.

I especially enjoyed the the algal wrap treatment. I have been to Henlow Grange before and I would choose clarice house every time, it was so much quieter and more friendly, I did not feel I was on a conveyor belt.
It would have been nice to have a few more classes to attend like water fitness or pilates.
The food was very good, and the staff really tried to be helpful. It was also very nice to have the same person for several of the treatments so that you got to know them, rather than start from scratch each time.

I will definately re book - cannot wait to go back.
